Are we are already seeing the signs?

SCRIPTURE concerning; The RETURN OF CHRIST. “ Are we are already seeing the signs? Second Coming of Christ - Signs for Keeping Watch

Some people might just shrug their shoulders and 'casually'say that they are waiting for the Second Coming of CHRIST. However, JESUS wants us to "keep watch." Bear in mind - when JESUS [does] return, HE is returning to a largely 'unrepentant world'. Revelation 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. Shall wail because of him - On account of him; on account of their treatment of him. The word rendered "wail" - κόπτω koptō - means properly to beat, to cut; then to beat or cut oneself in the breast as an expression of sorrow; and then to lament, to cry aloud in intense grief. The coming of the Savior will be an occasion of this: (a) because it will be an event which will call the sins of people to remembrance, and (b) because they will be overwhelmed with the apprehension of the wrath to come. Nothing will fill the earth with (greater consternation) than the coming of the MESSIAH, JESUS CHRIST, Son the living of GOD in the clouds of heaven. Nothing could produce so deep and universal alarm. This fact, which no one can doubt, is proof that people feel that they are guilty, since, ( if they were innocent, they would have nothing to dread by HIS appearing. ) It is also a proof that they believe in the doctrine of future punishment, since, if they do not, there is no reason why they should be alarmed at HIS coming. Surely people would not dread HIS appearing if they really believed that all will be saved. Who dreads the coming of a benefactor to bestow favors on him? Who dreads the appearing of a jailer to deliver him from prison; of a physician to raise him up from a bed of pain; of a deliverer to knock off the fetters of slavery? And how can it be that people should be alarmed at the coming of the SAVIOR, unless their consciences tell them that they have much to fear in the future? The presence of the Redeemer in the clouds of heaven would destroy (all the hopes) of (those who believe) in the doctrine of universal salvation - as the approach of death now often does. The "Doctrine of universal salvation", (or) "Universalism" is the belief that everyone will be saved. There are many people today who hold to universal salvation and believe that all people (eventually) end up in heaven. IS this what the Bible teaches? No, it's not. Perhaps it is the thought of men and women living a life of eternal torment in hell that causes some to (reject) the teaching of Scripture on this issue. For some it is an over-emphasis on the love and compassion of GOD— and the neglect of the righteousness and justice of GOD— that leads them to believe GOD will have mercy on every living soul. But the Scriptures do teach that some people will spend eternity in hell. People believe that there is much to be dreaded in the future world, or they would not fear the coming of HIM who shall wind up the affairs of the human race. Even so, Amen - ναὶ, ἀμήν nai, amēn. "A double expression of "so be it, assuredly, certainly," one in Greek and the other in Hebrew" A great way to keep watch is to know what the Bible reveals about upcoming events and compare those to what we see happening today. There are nearly ( 100 ) biblical passages discussing The Second Coming of JESUS CHRIST. The key events can be summarized with the acrostic: S - E - C - O - N - D. S…Sudden. Matthew 24:27 E…Essential. One of the foundations of the Christian faith is JESUS' second coming. It is spoken of by JESUS and many others in the Bible. JESUS will physically come again for all HIS believers and for HIS final judgment. (Unfortunately, some Christian cults) - teach that CHRIST "secretly" returned already. This [ IS ] Wrong ! As you read what the Bible says about the “Second Coming of JESUS”, it will be obvious that it hasn't happened yet. C…Christ's Final Judgment. (John 5:22, Acts 10:42 and 2 Timothy 4:1). (Acts 17:31, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-5:11 and Hebrews 10:27.) O…Obvious. Matthew 24:40. N…No One Knows When. Matthew 24:36 D... Is for "Doubters". As we get closer and closer to the Second Coming of CHRIST, there will be increasing and widespread [doubt] about whether JESUS even existed. People will also start wondering if GOD really exists - and believers will leave the Christian faith. (2 Thessalonians 2:1-4, 1 Timothy 4:1-2, and 2 Peter 2:1-3). Do you think we're already seeing these signs? ( I certainly do ! ) 1 Thessalonians Chapter 4

13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive [and] remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words. 1 Corinthians Chapter 15

51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal [must] put on immortality.

54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

55 O death, where [is] thy sting? O grave, where [is] thy victory?

56 The sting of death [is] sin; and the strength of sin [is] the law.

57 But thanks [be] to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Acts 1:11

“Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.” Titus 2:13

“Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;” 2 Peter 3:3-14 3Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

4And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

5For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:

6Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

7But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

8But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

9The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

10But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

12Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

14Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. 1 John 3:2-3

2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. Luke 21:25-28 (( one of my favorites..)) 25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;

26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. Matthew 24:3-14 3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what [shall be] the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all [these things] must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

8 All these [are] the beginning of sorrows.

9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.

10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. Matthew 24:27, 29-31

27For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

29Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

30And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

31And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Matthew 24:36-44 36But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

37But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

38For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

39And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

40Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

41Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

42Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

43But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.

44Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

2 Timothy 3:1-5 1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 1 Timothy 4:1-3

1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

3 Forbidding to marry, [and commanding] to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. *Departing from the faith - (no longer following CHRIST ), speaking lies in hypocrisy, seducing spirits, doctrines of devils (commanding ) to abstain from meats..”NOTICE” this is [NOT] commandments from GOD, but from ‘others’ ( This (seems) to speak of those turning from the work by JESUS That HE [ completed ] at the cross - and instead turning ( back ) to the law, from which ‘those people’ will be judged,

this is according to Romans 2:12 which say's --

Romans 2:12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;

Matthew 24:34 “Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.” John 14:1-4

1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if [it were] not [so], I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, [there] ye may be also.

4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. How does GOD meet you in trouble, loss, disability, and pain? You probably (already know) the “right answer.” HE does not [immediately] intervene to make everything all better... HE [IS] Long suffering. HE is ever so patient, not wanting to lose not a single one of us (HIS little children) from the flock (family).

Yet HE continually intervenes, according to gracious purposes, working both in [you] and in what afflicts [you]. If you’ve read Psalms, if you’ve heard a sermon on the second half of Romans 8, if you’ve worked through 1 Peter in a Bible [study],

then you’ve got the 'gist' already ! GOD Bless all ! Amen and Amen. Let it be so, let it be so.
